We had dinner at Reinthaler's Beisel.
Classic Austrian food.
The kids were happy.
We had tickets to the Musikverein, the natural home of the Vienna Philharmonic.
The building was opened in 1870.
It was build by Theophil von Hansen and
people say, the golden hall has perfect acoustics.
We had tickets to see Maurizio Pollini, but the maestro was sick.
Rudolf Buchbinder, genius loci, jumped in and played Beethoven and Schubert.
Notice how he never needs sheet music!
We put on our nice clothes,
took our seats in our box, and had a great time.
